My Journey part 1

 Welcome!!

This is the beginning of my journey with loads more to come...

When my husband and I got married, we didn't think we would be expecting to have a baby soon after.

We got married in March of 2012 after being together since 2008. We decided to have a small intimate wedding with just family and some close friends. Despite some telling us it would never last, we seem to be set on showing everyone that they were wrong.

I struggled with depression and anxiety for most of my life, leading me to party hard. That is until about August of 2012 when I didn't feel myself, so I went to the dr and found out that I was pregnant. After letting the news settle in, and coming to terms with it it was exactly what we needed. Things weren't the best in terms for us, but God had a plan for us (which we didn't realize at the time).

Our living situation could have been better, but again everything happens for a reason and brought us to where we are now stable. We were living with another couple, their two kids, and 3 dogs in a 2 bedroom condo. It was a little cramped and with different opinions, environment was very toxic for someone who struggled with depression, not a place I wanted to raise my child in.

Moving forward to 2013; baby "S" was born in June of that year, we were forced to evacuate from my childhood house and move into a hotel. My husband was working 2 jobs, barely making ends meet. we struggled living in a high tax state. Upon talking with my father, decided it was best for us to pack up our entire life, and move 8 hours away from the only state I was born and raised in.

It was both exciting and scary at the same time, being closer to my father seemed to help comfort me. It's true what they say; It doesn't matter where home is, because home is where your heart is. And quite frankly as long as I had my husband and our beautiful baby girl; I was home!

Part 2 coming soon.
